FOMT: The First Few Days

Time to start this game! Hopefully I won't screw up to much during the early months this time :D
So I tested the game for saving just because I tend to distrust emulating when it comes to GBA games...
Lol it was supposed to be Wuppy, but screw it I am lazy.
I never really got invested in the old man's story. Maybe they should have talked some more about him.
Yay! my own house! I don't even have my own fridge...
Whatever, Lets just waste time upgrading stuff before even seeing what I can do with the land!
No... No thanks. Bye!
Now to farming... YIKES! I forgot how daunting it looked.
Lets go foraging. Yes Foraging!
While I am there I always take two herbs and take a flower then sacrifice it to the goddess just cause!
She's a marriage candidate btw, But surprisingly for a goddess not worth the trouble.
Speaking for marriage candidates, Here's mine for this sav file. Popuri!
I used to go for Ann but recently I grown to like this choice more.
She's pretty moe. Also I kinda dislike Kai's smugness :P
Well I did accomplish SOMETHING. Putting rocks as a wall.
Buying seeds shows that it isn't much effective foraging.
Wish I could have more money but for now this will have to do.
There I got all the small stones to gate some of my farm land.
If I want more I'll need some REALLY bad weather.
And I get a horse! Thanks Barley!
This lot is my task for as a whole in the game.
I never got this house in the previous game.
I planted all the turnips. And yes this is how I farm. Because its to best way to do so for lv.4 tools.
But for lv.1 tools I'll need to do a row at a time for now as I can't get to the middle and thanks to the rocks also no to the left. But this isn't that much of a problem.
And then there are the mines. 2 of them. Its hard to mine for stuff. And you'll need to in order to get all the good stuff in this game. like teleportation and power berries.
Doing that made me faint, I am going to let this happen without rebooting. Because I don't have any animals who need feeding and that way the rest of the turnips are now mature for harvesting. This was a decent start.

But I am calling it a day xD

Well Gotta Start Some Where...

Hello, this is just a casual thing. even more so then my other blogs. It is to post fun stuff I come across on my Harvest Moon games,Which I do own but rather emulate nowadays because I can make better screencaps!
I do this via my GCW-Zero which can emulate pretty much everything... All it needs is a Jolly Roger. lol
Any way these are the games I can emulate and take good screen caps off:
The Original Harvest Moon for the SNES. I am going to do a full run eventually. But I have a hard time keeping interested in the short bursts of work and play that makes one successful in the game.
Then we go to the Gameboy Era, I am most happy that the emulator allows me to play pretty much every Gameboy game with several templates and superior lighting. And there's no fear of bumping the cartridge out of place like on the GBA SP.
So this is first where one can play both boy and girl. I to be honest haven't played it yet. I am looking forward to it though!
The island game. I can't say much about it either but I do think the team-work thing is interesting.
And my first Harvest Moon game, The one I am going to do a full run off. So I am glad that I own this one and still have the box. I am looking forward to playing this!
The switch around, I am not really interested in this. The extra features are nice. But to be honest the choice of available marriage candidates aren't quite that good. Being able to marry the Kappa isn't a positive add-on either xD
And lastly this thing which barely works. I own the game on the PSP, And I still want to play it there, but its fun to make screencaps. Sadly for my GCW-Zero I am stuck with PSX4ALL which is an emulator that is still in early alpha last I checked. It almost constantly crashes and every game is a bit of a bitch to get working with the Bios files and stuff. But then again, Its fun to see the franchise gradually evolve.
Now what I do hope is that they'll get working on a Nintendo 64 emulator for the GCW Zero. I would love to see Harvest Moon 64 on the go, Its also totally different from the other games in lay-out and gameplay. Also its fun to see characters I grew up with in different roles. Sadly its a long way to go...

So that's about it for now. I might not be here when I EVENTUALLY get a 3DS with Pokemon X/Y and Harvest Moon A New Beginning and that new upcoming one. But we'll see lol
